Fire Door Safety in Hotels & Residential Properties

Hotels and residential buildings present some of the most significant fire safety challenges of any building type. Occupants — particularly in hotels — may be unfamiliar with the building layout, and in residential blocks, people may be asleep when a fire breaks out. In these environments, the integrity of fire doors is absolutely critical.

Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy and the subsequent Hackitt Review, fire safety in residential buildings has come under intense scrutiny. The Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Building Safety Act 2022 have significantly strengthened the obligations on building owners and responsible persons.

Guardian Fire Door Inspection provides accredited fire door surveys for hotels, HMOs, purpose-built blocks of flats, student accommodation, and other residential developments. We work with hotel operators, housing associations, private landlords, managing agents, and residential management companies.
